Dukot tackles the worsening human-rights situation in the Philippines and the abhorrent practice of enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings. It exposes the involvement of state security forces in the increasing number of enforced disappearances in the country. The film, released in 2009also provides a glimpse of how families of victims cope and search for their loved ones.
