週五茶聚：在港難民 FRIDAY COFFEE TALK: REFUGEE IN HONG HONG
文革與越戰：有沒有想過我們身邊的許多上一代，也許就是當年被迫逃離家園的難民？而現在他們已成為香港社會的一份子。雖然中國和澳門政府都分別簽署和正式確認難民公約，香港政府卻沒有簽署。在沒有任何難民法的保障之下，來港尋求庇護人士就連基本生活如糧食、住房都成問題，更可能會被拘留和驅逐。我們邀請了因逃避迫害而來到香港成為難民的兩位嘉賓和我們分享在港尋求庇護的經歷。日期： 2009年5月15日(五) 時間： 19:00-21:00 地點：九龍塘城市大學 4 樓 G4701 室 (見地圖) 如果你有興趣出席當日活動，請按此回覆通知我們，或連同姓名，聯絡電話和參加人數寄電郵到 bleung [at] amnesty.org.hk。多謝! Cultural Revolution and Vietnam War: Many of us might have forgotten that as soon recent as our previous generations came to Hong Kong fleeing home from war and persecution who have now became part of our society and shaped our lives. Both the Chinese and Macau governments have signed and ratified the refugee convention, but Hong Kong has not. The lack of any refugee law means that asylum seekers are left without any basic means of living, including food and shelter and subject to detention and deportation. We have invited two speakers who came to Hong Kong as refugees fleeing persecutions from their home countries to speak about their experiences as asylum seekers in Hong Kong. 青年發展小組：難民與尋求庇護人士的權益 YOUTH DEVELOPMENT NETWORK: THE RIGHTS OF REFUGEES & ASYLUM SEEKERS
每五個香港人當中就有一個青年人，他們對人權的認識有多少？如何針對青年人群體推動人權發展？我們已成立一名為「青年發展小組」的策略小組，小組將每月會面一次，本年度的工作焦點將集中在本港及鄰近地區難民與尋求庇護人士的權益。我們將探討以下主題性活動的可行性，包括： 1. 關注東南亞難民人權狀況 2. 難民模擬營 3. 東南亞難民狀況研習之旅 4. 公眾教育等歡迎你一起參與，探討移徙人士的處境，下次會面詳情如下：日期： 2009年5月23日(六) 時間： 13:00-14:30 地點：九龍渡船街32-36號富利來商業大廈 3樓D室 (見地圖) 如果你有一股熱誠和想像力，希望為我們未來的小棟樑作一點貢獻，青年發展小組正需要你的參與! We have set up a strategy group, the Youth Development Taskforce, which aims to gather bright ideas for human rights education among youth in the community. The group will meet once a month or every two months. In the upcoming sessions, we will focus our work on refugee issues and rights of asylum seekers in Hong Kong. Our next meeting is scheduled as follows:- 1. Human rights condition of southeastern Asian refugees 2. Refugee simulation 3. Southeast Asia refugee visit 4.
