International Women's Day (IWD) has been observed since in the early 1900's Yet, violence and discrimination against women still persist. Join us in our IWD activities to advance our continuous fight with advancing women's rights all over the world.

During over a decade of armed conflict, many women in Liberia were systematically and forcefully made to join the warring parties as combatants, or serve as spies, cooks and porters. It's estimated that up to 30 percent of women were involved in the conflicts. In the aftermath of the conflict, women are stepping up their efforts to rebuild their country. We will be organizing a sharing evening with guest speaker to look into the women's situation in Liberia and the way forward.

Speakers: Ms. Francesca Cini, Reasearch and Campaigner Assistant on French-speaking West African countries.
