The Black PimpernelJointly organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHRC), Crossroads International, and proudly supported by Amnesty International, the Refugee Film Festival will be taking place between June 21 to 26, 2009 at the Broadway Cinematheque.

Featured films expose stories and lives of refugees from all around the world, bringing audience to know more about the hardship and difficulties they are encountering.

In supporting the festival, AI is proud to sponsor The Black Pimpernel (2007), based on the life of the Swedish ambassador Harald Edelstam and his fight to help refugees in Chile at the time of the military coup in 1973. During the terror that follows Edelstam struggles for humanity, justice and decency. (learn more)
