Burkina Faso government is going to take action to protect women and girls!

In December 2015, the Ministry of Social Action and National Solidarity adopted a national strategy (2016-2025) and a three-year action plan (2016-2018) to prevent and eliminate child marriage in Burkina Faso.

We thank all those who have shown support for women and girls in Burkina Faso in our Write for Rights campaign.

This is certainly a positive step in eliminating child marriage!

Congratulations to our 1st batch of AIHK Human Rights Journalists!

Over 30 students from around 20 secondary schools had finished our pilot AIHK Human Rights Journalist programme – training sessions delivered by senior journalists, professors in journalism and human rights lawyers, followed by four monthly workshops focusing on debates and situations on children rights, freedom of expression, death penalty and discrimination. Our young journalists have submitted reports on these four topics and received comments on each of their assignment.

Thank you for all your efforts!
