Amnesty International Hong Kong welcomes students attaining higher education from Hong Kong and other locations to intern for us. You will be equipped with knowledge of human rights and to defend it together through various tasks and duties. We accept interns throughout the year.

Fundraising Intern

(No vacancy Apr-Aug 2020)
Description
The intern will support the team to raise funds via various channels. These include preparing online marketing materials, keeping regular contact with donors by phone, preparing communication materials for donors and assisting in the daily operations.

Requirements

  • Good command in Cantonese and English
  • Strong marketing sense (Familiar with social media is a plus)
  • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organising ability
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus

Human Rights Education Intern

(No vacancy Apr-Dec 2020)
Description
  • To assist the organisation of Human Rights Salon and other community human rights education activities, including guest invitation, promotion, etc.
  • To assist in documents and articles drafting, including conducting interviews and researches, translating etc.
  • To assist in the production of materials for School Human Rights Education Programme
  • To assist in social media materials productions
Requirements
  • Good command of Cantonese and English
  • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
  • Good organizing ability
  • Be punctual and nice, with a positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge in photography, graphic design and video editing preferred
  • Basic knowledge of social and human rights issues preferred

Campaign Intern

(No vacancy Apr-Aug 2020)

Description

  • To assist in researching and analyzing both local and international human rights situations
  • To assist in organizing different activities, urgent actions and campaigns
  • To assist in facilitating Facebook Broadcast Program #KeepHumanRightsaLive
  • To assist drafting promotional materials in different channels including social media and electronic news

 

Requirements

  • Good command of Cantonese and English
  • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
  • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organizing ability
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus
  • Commit to facilitate organising in major public events
  • Prefer to have knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and video making
  • Strong passion for human rights and social justice

Communication Intern

(No vacancy Apr-Aug 2020)

Description

  • To assist in  translation of news and newsletters
  • To assist in contributing posts (including paragraphs and visuals) to social media
  • To assist in communications with media
  • To assist in the promotion of human rights activities and write up publicity materials.

 

Requirements

  • Good command in English, and Cantonese preferred
  • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
  • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organising ability and creativity
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Good knowledge in social media and visual production is a plus
  • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus
