Amnesty International Hong Kong welcomes students attaining higher education from Hong Kong and other locations to intern for us. You will be equipped with knowledge of human rights and to defend it together through various tasks and duties. We accept interns throughout the year.

Fundraising Intern

Job Description
The intern will support the team to plan and execute various events for fundraising, carry out donor retention programme, and prepare communication materials for our stakeholders and the general public.

Requirements

  • Good command in Cantonese and English
  • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Good organising ability
  • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus

    Human Rights Education Intern

    Description
    • To assist the organisation of Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, including subtitles proofreading, guest invitation, document drafting and translation, event promotion, etc
    • To assist the production of Human Rights manazine, including conducting interviews, research, drafting and translating articles, etc
    • To assist the organization of Human Rights Friday and other community education activities
    • To assist the production of materials for School Human Rights Education Programme
    • To assist the drafting of promotional and educational materials, including for traditional and social media
    Requirements
    • Good command of Cantonese and English
    • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
    • Good organizing ability
    • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
    • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
    • Basic knowledge in photography, graphic design and video editing preferred
    • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues preferred

    Campaign Intern

    Description

    • To assist in researching and analyzing both local and international human rights situations
    • To assist in organizing different activities, urgent actions and campaigns
    • To assist in facilitating Facebook Broadcast Program #KeepHumanRightsaLive
    • To assist drafting promotional materials in different channels including social media and electronic news

     

    Requirements

    • Good command of Cantonese and English
    • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
    • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
    • Good organizing ability
    • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
    • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus
    • Commit to facilitate organising in major public events
    • Prefer to have knowledge in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and video making
    • Strong passion for human rights and social justice

    Communication Intern

    Description

    • To assist in  translation of news and newsletters
    • To assist in contributing posts (including paragraphs and visuals) to social media
    • To assist in idea generation and publication of HUMAN RIGHTS magazine
    • To assist in communications with media
    • To assist in the promotion of human rights activities and write up publicity materials.

     

    Requirements

    • Good command in English, and Cantonese preferred
    • Good writing skills in Chinese and English
    • Be punctual and nice, with positive working attitude and good interpersonal skills
    • Good organising ability and creativity
    • Able to work efficiently under minimum supervision
    • Good knowledge in social media and visual production is a plus
    • Basic knowledge in social and human rights issues is a plus
