Since 1995, Amnesty International Hong Kong, together with the Hong Kong Journalists Association (HKJA) and the Foreign Correspondents’ Club Hong Kong (FCC), have held the annual Human Rights Press Awards (HRPA). The goal of the HRPA is to increase respect for the basic rights of all people, to heighten general awareness of human rights issues, and to focus on countries where threats exist to human rights.
