Human Rights Symposium : Human Rights of Hong Kong in the past 35 years
Venue：University of Hong Kong (Academic Conference Room, 11/F, Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus) Language：Cantonese Only
Amnesty International Hong Kong was officially established in 1982. Over these 35 years, we have witnessed the development of Hong Kong and the change of local human rights situation. The freedom of peaceful assembly and the freedom of expression have been seemingly shrinking; the debate on National Education is getting more intense.
This year marks AIHK's 35th Anniversary. To echo the Human Rights Day, we will hold the "Human Rights Symposium : Human Rights of Hong Kong in the past 35 years". The talk is divided into two sessions: "Peaceful Assembly and Public Order Ordinance" and "Human Rights and Civil Education". We are honoured to have invited speakers from academia, social movement and education sector to review on the past and prospect of Hong Kong's human rights condition through discussion.
